Today I finished what must have been the 7th or 8th page (I lose count) of the manga, I had done half the page the night
before. I watched Eko Eko Azarak III two nights ago to research the Misa character a bit more. I also watched 3 episodes of
the TV series, but they were not subtitled! Dammit all to jigoku (hell)! I might start the next page tomorrow if I'm not busy.
Nasty Nate out!
Wednesday, May 14, 2003
So what did I get done today? Not a damn thing. I watched some anime and put up some posters. I still have another page
to go in the manga before it's back to the gorefest! :D As if this thing wasn't violent enough as it is. Have you ever been
stabbed in the forehead with a knife and lived to tell about it?
Thursday, May 15, 2003
I actually did some shit today! Aren't you proud? Didn't think so. Well, I managed about 1/2 of a new page today. I spent
most of the time on this beautiful shot on Misa's eyes up close. The other scene was an overhead shot (There is a first) of
a table and cards (There is more than that, I'm just trying to not be an ass and spoil it for ya). I'm pretty sure no work
will get done tomorrow as I have to host a showing of the film "Battle Royale". Be sure to pick up the new BR manga
from TokyoPop, it is fucking amazing! Dat's it. Nasty Nate out!
Sunday, May 18, 2003
I'm starting to think this journal is a better idea than I initially thought. Well, I finished the other half of the page
on Saturday and set myself up for alot of blood and guts in the next page or two. I still don't have all the details worked
out in my head, I let my hand think for me most of the time anyway! The Battle Royale screening was a big success, hopefully
I can host another before school is out. Maybe "Ichi the Killer"! :P Maybe if I want to traumatize them... Maybe
I do. Nasty Nate out!
Monday, May 19, 2003
Damn, I hate Mondays. It's where you learn all the bad news of the week to come. This week is SOLs, so I'm looking forward
to getting rid of those pain in the asses. The bad part is that I probably won't get any work done on Eko Eko Azarak II, but
there's always next week and shit. Battle Royale is becoming very popular now due to the screening I held, if Kinji were still
with us, he would be proud! Nasty Nate out!
Tuesday, May 20, 2003
Man, I have 2 big ass tests tomorrow (One is an SOL! *gasp*), but am I studying? HELL NO! I'm working for you people!
I finished half of one whole new page, and trust me, it is very juicy with bodily fluids! I also updated the Asian Movie Reviews
section to include downloadable original japanese trailers. Also, more pics of Misa all around! (And more on the way) Check
out the brand spanking new links section while your at it, featuring tons of different language sites for your bastard bilingual
mind! Nasty Nate out!
Thursday, May 22, 2003
Well, the tests are over but not without some controversy. Mrs. Roman could lose her job over some bullshit acqusation
(sp?) that she helped us cheat on the SOL. Damn, I hate that stupid school! Anyway, work on EEA II is being postponed until
Monday (Which I have off) as I am going to Knoxville for the weekend. Hell, I have till October to finish it! I will take
my sweet ass time! Bwahahahaha! I might update again from the hotel room if I'm not in the theaters or the 3 Doors Down concert
all night! :D Nasty Nate out!
Monday, May 26, 2003
Well, that was a fun weekend! I spent most of my day off watching movies and eating leftover chinese/italian food we brought
back with us. Peiking Dumplings are the damn things ever invented! Seriously! Anyway, I did finish the other half of that
page and it is nice and juicy with a throat slashing! Eew! I will try to start a new page over the next few days, and maybe
a webpage update or two, time permitting. Well, I gotta go watch a Zatoichi movie (This one is in COLOR! *0*), so sayonara!
Nasty Nate out!
Thursday, May 29, 2003
Today I finished one whole new page! Holy sheyot! Zatoichi 3 was the bomb by the way. The page was very violent and featured
a beheading via magical blast (Remember page 2 of the first one?), things are about to kick into high geer the the suspense,
just like the whole high school lock-down situation in Eko Eko Azarak. I will try to work some this weekend. I have to see
"Wrong Turn" on Sat. and host a showing on Sunday of Shaolin Soccer and Ichi the Killer (uncut). Oooh, I can't wait
to see everyone's reactions. Hopefully, more people will come than last time. Nasty Nate out!
Sunday, June 1, 2003
Happy June everyone. It's about one thirty five in the A.M. and I just finished half of another page on EEA II so I thought
I would update. Materials will be coming in soon for the live-action film I mentioned above, but we're keeping that shit under
wraps for now. I also added an assload of japanese EEA links to the links page so check that shit out! I'm also going to start
a new section to link to friends sites soon as well. Next week is the last week of school, thank buddah. Sheeewwww. This thing
is turning into a personal journal, huh? That's not good. Speaking of turning, I saw Wrong Turn yesterday. Very slick '70s
exploitation STUDIO (Fox) film! Damn, we need more shit like this in the theaters! Can't wait for 28 Days Later! Nasty Nate
out!
Wednesday, June 4, 2003
Another half of a page was finished 2 days ago. Things are going slowly but surely. Today was the last full day of school,
I just have exams tomorrow, Friday, and the S.A.T. on Sat. and I can party till August! Booyakasha, beyotch! Too bad Mrs.
Roman was kicked out, we could have taken the exam early! Anyway, back to the EEA business. I will try to work on it a little
on Sunday. Expect this page to not be as updated as much as it has been as I have alot of shit planned for all the free time
I have off! Nasty Nate out!
Sunday, June 8, 2003
Hey hey hey. Sorry, no work was done today on EEA II, but tomorrow for sure! Notice the changes around the site? The site
is becoming more EEA oriented and less of a personal site. In personal news, I have passed my junior year at JJK! Hell yeah!
And I took the pain in the ass SAT! I have given thought to starting an Eko Eko Azarak Yahoo Group (Club) with pics and videos
and such. I just might do that, but that would mean less work on EEA II. Oh, and I am FREE at last! No school shit until senior
pics on August 8th! Hell yeah!! Nasty Nate out!
Friday, June 13, 2003
Boo-hah! Friday the mother fucking 13th (And no I can't spell that out)! I actually managed to get a page and a half done
over all this free time! Now if only someone else gave a damn. Anywho, looks like I'm heading to North Carolina tomorrow for
a "special" event. I'll tell about it when I get back, but it's going to be awesome. BTW, anyone seen this V-cinema
movie called Ju-On? Not the movie that Sam Raimi is remaking, but the original shot-on-video one. I watched it tonight (Heads
up Cannibal King!) and it was pretty creepy. Especially the "jawless" bit. It's sorta like the Ring, except with
gore and more than one harmful apparition (sp?). Get a copy off ePay, it's worth it! I can't wait for part 2! Nasty Nate out!
Tuesday, June 17, 2003
Hey again. Check out the fan-art section to find where my artwork has been featured on a SECOND DVD! Wow! :D Guess what?
I saw 28 Days Later in the cinema! I drove my ass all the way to North Carolina just to see a one time only Friday the 13th
showing before the official release on June 27th. It turned out to be a very good horror film and certainly more of what we
need in the theaters. If you like the Dead trilogy or The Crazies, you need to check this movie out! Watch out for the monkeys!
Anyway, I have another page done on EEA II and am currently suffering from writer's block on the project. I am also finishing
the script for that short film I spoke of earlier (The supplies haven't arrived though). I am also working on getting that
guestbook on the site so hold out for that one. Well, I have more work to do on "surprises". Nasty Nate out!
Monday, June 23, 2003
Hey all (the few)! Good news! A whole new page was completed on EEA II (This one very gory with a scene of self mutilation!).
How did I get over the writer's block you say? By going back to the past until I can figure something better out! Easy, huh?
Notice the guestbook on the front page (Well, if you are here, you probably have seen it anyway), please sign that if you
don't give a damn. I watched Ju-On 2 and it was freaky as hell! The first 20 mins are the last 20 mins from the previous movie.
Including that damn "stair scene" I would have rather forgotten. Ju-On 2 got me GOOD with one scare, I mean REAL
GOOD! Like not expecting anything and BAM good! Very well done, still nothing like *RING SPOILER* the first time you watch
Sadako crawl out of a TV. Oh, and be sure to go out and see 28 Days Later this Friday! Keep horror and foreign film alive
in North America! Still working on that Yahoo! Group BTW, expect it sometime next month. That's about it until I decide to
get off my ass and do some more work (Take a guess when that will happen!). Nasty Nate out!
Thursday, June 26, 2003
What up mina? See that? I put some Nihongo in this time! Wakarimasen! Demo, I did get some EEA II work done. I finished
another whole page and it has some stripping in it! :D Oh yeah, bitch, you love it. Also, materials for the short film arrived
yesterday from Japan! Script is done (And by done I mean half written and we wing it) and shooting will start when EEA II
is done. That will all take a while but I'm trying to make that Halloween release window. Okay, enough of that jargin. You
guys ready for 28 Days Later this Friday! Please see it! You see all the absolute shit it is up against (That the "american
public" seems to "love")? Getting in the top five would be a decent run for this great movie. BTW, anyone seen
the 2001 Japanese film "Pistol Opera" that came out on DVD this week? Holy shit! What a fantastic, yet mind-fucking
film. I know it's a re-working of Branded to Kill and all (Which was great as well), but this takes it to a surreal and acid-like
level. The only film I've seen with an assasin in a wheelchair! Very inspirational indeed. My pick for movie of the week!
;). Now it's time to watch Emanuelle in America! Snuff/Horse molesting ahoy! Nasty Nate out!
Sunday, June 29, 2003
What the hell is up everyone?!? Nate here with more updates on the immensly slow EEA II project. Work has been started
on yet another page that will change character locations and feature NO GORE! For like the first time in this whole book.
Also, look for the teaser poster to my live-action EEA flick to show up soon. You didn't really think I would be using HUMAN
actors now, did you? ;D BTW, I highly recommend Emanuelle in America if you have ANY interest in sleaze films. It is the undisputed
king of em all! It has everything, and I mean everything! Oh, this weekend's box-office results just came in: Retarded lesbians
on top, a green PS2 polygon-looking thingie #2, a more realistic looking polygon fish thingie at #3, and #4 is our baby:
28 Days Later! Here is a little sniplet from Yahoo! Movies' box-office report:
[The British fright flick "28 Days Later" lacked the huge advertising blitz of "Charlie's Angels"
and "The Hulk," but it managed to take fourth place with an unexpectedly strong $9.7 million while playing in barely
a third as many theaters as the big-studio movies.]
Ohhhh, did you read that shit? Start the expansion! Definitely a "House of 1000 Corpses type scenario". Another
horror success story! Music to my Metallica-abused ears! Oh, and one more thing: If any of you want to see the Eko Eko Azarak
movie (the first one), and don't want to pay for it, it is now available on Kazaa and eDonkey thanks to the efforts of myself
and three other people. To get the file (avi), just search for "Wizard of Darkness". It will also say that it is
a LD rip by Spannik (the encoder and ripper) and it will say DIVX or something. You will know it when you see it. There is
also a variety of english subs files to play with the movie under the same name (They are based off Ctenosaur's old script,
the only one in existance to be in english at the moment). I, myself, am hosting it 24/7 so do yourself a favor and download
the movie (It's perfectly legal as only the 3rd film is licensed in the United States). Nasty Nate out!
Friday, July 4, 2003
Happy fourth of frigging July! I thought I would make a quick update before I leave for Knoxville for the weekend. Now
onto the EEA II news: That page I spoke of earlier was finished last night up in the wee hours of the morning. It took around
5 hours just for that one page. It has ALOT of detail and is probably the best looking page in the manga yet. Now onto other
general jargin that no one really cares about: I guess the big movie at the North American box-office this weekend will be
T3. I will probably see it in Knoxville since I have read a handful of favorable reviews for it. Oh, and if you haven't seen
it, go see 28 Days Later! Then come home and download Eko Eko Azarak off Kazaa! :D Don't forget to watch the South Park movie
UNCUT! Tonight @ 1:00 a.m. on Comedy Central. I swear, I will shit a brick if they actually say the "f-word" on
TV like they say they are going to. Here's to hoping! One more thing, remember that live-action film I said I was working
on? Well, here is a teaser poster for it! Expect the final poster when actual filming starts! Nasty Nate out!
Tuesday, July 8, 2003
Hey again todo mi hijos! It's around three in the (frickin) morning and I just finished a whole page on EEA II that took
around FOUR hours total! I am definitely finally getting back in the old groove I had on the first novel. Problem is, it makes
the previous artwork look not-so-good... But hey! That's what Photoshop is for, right? I will try to get another page done
before the weekend. Things are heating up between Kirie and Misa (No, that that way ya perv... But for a price, it could!)
and all hell is about to break loose. I have ALOT of stuff planned as far as plot goes. Not to mention the fighting, which
is going to be intense and include ALOT of magic attacks. Oh, and expect the second "teaser poster" sometime before
or around this Friday. So, I went to Knoxville this past weekend and had alot of fun. I saw T3 which was surpirsingly good
for a summer popcorn flick (LOVE that ending! Way to kick the conservitive audience members square in the sac! I wanted to
fucking cheer!) . Can't hold a candle to the first two though, but that's what you get when Cameron isn't on board. I also
watched a documentary on "The Exorcist" called "Fear of God" which was very well done and almost scarier
than the movie itself! I highly recommend you check it out. Well, that's it for this day's rather bland and uninspired update.
Hasta la vista, puta! Nasty Nate out!
Thursday, July 10, 2003
Konichiwa! And welcome back to this taihen web page! (Alot of Japanese in there) A short little update today as I have
completed another half page on EEA II. So far, the action is getting ready to hit... HARD! Now it is very peaceful and emotional
though. I have alot of stuff planned for this big finale, like I said earlier. I promise to show you one of the greatest displays
of feminine anger and rage ever seen! That reminds me...Like 80% of the cast in this manga are female! Oh, and I will be shooting
the shot for the new teaser poster later today and will probably have it all Photoshoped up by Friday. Okay, enough about
that boring jargin, let us move on to other eccentric things! Well, it looks like Battle Royale II topped the japanese box-office
last weekend (Although the english reviews have been negative for the most part). I hope an english subtitled version shows
soon so I can judge it for myself. Even if it is bad, there is always the manga! Looks like the two big movies at the U.S.
box-office this weekend are Pirates of the Caribbean and LXG. I'm opting for Pirates this weekend because IMO LXG looks a
wee bit shitty as we say in the motherland. Oh yeah, one other thing, I'm going to take some time to work on a banner or two
for the site. Expect more on that next week I guess. Dat's it para hoy. Nasty Nate out!
Friday, July 11, 2003
New update! Yahoo, bitches! Another full EEA II page has been completed. The big fighting should begin within the next
page or two. That is where the most work is needed, thus things will slow down a bit. Screw it, I have till October! And late
October at that! Hahahaha! Enough bitching about working, the new teaser poster is finished! This one with Kirie and a special
guest (Who could it be?). I wanted to make sure I showed more stuff than in the first poster. The red background was about
half a day's worth of work, even though it looks like I did it in 5 minutes (Kinda like the manga :)) I am also working on
a music video type deal for the first EEA movie: Wizard of Darkness *Now available on Kazaa and mlDonkey! with english/spanish
subs!*. Now on with the movie banter. The word is out that the first trailer for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake will be
on Bad Boys II. So there is more reason to see the film. The remake could be good or bad, but that still doesn't change the
fact that it has absolutely no reason to exist. (Like all remakes for the most part) Well, that is most likely it until next
week, so I leave you with this poorly constructed teaser poster for a film that hasn't been made yet! :D Nasty Nate out!
Tuesday, July 15, 2003
Guten Morgen! It's about three something in the A.M. and it is time for a manga update! Another whole page done! In one
day! Four hours! Anyway, alot more detail is being put into these last few pages before the big fight (Because that will be
VERY messy). I still have ALOT of work ahead of me on this. Today's page consisted of Kirie coming to find Misa (Has not found
her yet) and she discovers some of her past handywork. Unknown to her, Misa has caught on. There is also a bunch of other
things in the page that I left out on purpose of course! This was a basic 4 panel page (Only one actually drawn IN a box,
due to my "renegade" art style :)) with all of the dialogue spoken through thought. Moving on to other stuff to
take up space: I managed to see Pirates of the Caribbean this weekend. Pretty good movie, but it screams summer popcorn film
and is easily forgettable (Like most big budgeted movies in the summer). Johnny Depp is definitely the best part of the film
and steals every scene that he's in, proving that he is one of the best actors working today. I guess he'll make french films
since he lives in France now, huh? :D I also watched the japanese film Shark "Shark Skin Man And Peach Hip Girl"
today. A mess of different genres (mostly yakuza comedy) trying to come off as cool and hip. In fact it does in certain spots,
but not enough to hold the film up. Asano is great in the title role and always manages to look cool in every scene. Oh, and
how many giant rock stars (Asano in Japan) do you know that would do a sex scene with 2 prostitutes on film? (Not to mention
running through the woods in nothing but your underwear - OW! TWIG!) Not many, but Asano is balls out when choosing his movie
roles (And him choosing to play Kakihara in Ichi The Killer is balls out and chopped fucking OFF!). Most of the supporting
cast is great as well, it is just the script and the off-the-wall tone of the film that seems to hurt it in departments. I'd
say give it a rental first. Well, that's it for this update, hopefully I will be able to start on another page tomorrow. Nasty
Nate out!
Wednesday, July 16, 2003
Que paso, todo? Another whole page completed 2day! I'm on a roll. That's 2 for 2 this week (Yes, it is Wed., but it's
1:30 A.M. so that doesn't mean shit)! The fight WILL begin in the next page... At least the verbal parts. The page completed
today basically shows Kirie tracking Misa and finally finding her and Karen, but HOW did she do that?!? You'll have to read
to find out. I also re-worked my manga "script" (The one in my head) to slip some fanservice into the final fight.
Don't know what that is? Search for the term on any anime site and be amazed! I also just got this new "robot" cooling
fan in my office/workspace/room. It even has a friggin remote control! Now I won't be getting sweat all over the manga anymore!
(Which I do plan to fix with Photoshop, so don't worry about it) On to the beyond: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre teaser poster
hit the net today and I must say it is pretty impressive! Not at all like the original one, but I didn't expect it to be.
Atleast it isn't another shitty "floating heads" movie poster! Damn I hate those! See the covers of Scream/Final
Destination and such to see what I'm talking out. This poster has good old Leatherface hiding in the shadows with alot of
nifty Photoshop effects placed over the image. It also says "Inspired By A True Story" at the bottom. Why not go
ahead and put "Copied From An Earlier Film" while your at it. It kinda looks too much like the Hannibal poster though...
I guess it's the norm for cannibal films now. Man, I just noticed that I am writing waaayyyy too much mierda on this page
now. Which will be archived and no longer updated when the manga comes out BTW. Oh yeah, site updates, new shit on the front
page! I especially like the anti-Miramax(e) Shaolin Soccer banner I got from a friend on a forum. I went ahead and linked
it to a place where you can purchase the DVD if you haven't already (Tis a sin!!!) The links page has also been updated for
links to some of my friends' and families' sites (Still adding to it). I am still working on banners and that music video,
so stay tuned to this channel! Nasty Nate out!
Thursday, July 17, 2003
Yee-f'n Haw! Or something that rednecks say when they are excited. Screw it! This page appeals to ALL cultures! Manga
updates! Another whole page done! I'm on a roll here! Tomorrow will be tough considering I'll be out of town and out late
with a few personal affairs. I will try my damndest to make this a perfect week though! The page today... A little verbal
fighting. Some educational content (Witchcraft is real, kids!), and a hell of a lot of japanese text! (Hiragana) I had to
pull out my dictionary to get some help with it, but it came out pretty good. Before you ask, no, I won't tell what it says
in english. Just run it through a translation site if ya really want to know. On to my entertainment influences on the manga
(See, I can make everything related). Well, I saw that trailer for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake... And what can I say?
IT SUCKED! IT SUCKED SATAN'S RED DICK! Holy shit, it looks like the cast from 7th Heaven (One girl in it actually IS from
that show) on the WB. I won't say the whole film sucks based on a 2:20 trailer, but DAMN! It is looking bad! House of 1000
Corpses was a more faithful remake than this thing. I wouldn't mind if it was a sequel, but this piece of shit has the same
name as the classic! Leatherface looking cool isn't enough to the film if it turns out to be a teen slasher type film as the
trailer suggests (I thought we got rid of all that shit! Now we're digressing?). Remakes in general piss me off, sometimes
they are actually good (The Ring, Cape Fear, The Thing), but bad ones just bring shame to the original and make a clueless
generation *Which I am part of!* think it is the only one. I mean, how else are they going to hear about the original? Cockbuster
Video? I don't know, doesn't really matter. If it bombs, no harm done, right? :D Oh, and check out the new FORUM on the site!
That's right, go post something! Chances are I'm the only one that will read it! No registration required! No rules! What
are you waiting for? Post some shit! ;) New banner and music video on the way! Nasty Nate out!
Saturday, July 19, 2003
Hey all! Sorry I couldn't make it a perfect week with the manga work, yesterday was extremely busy and tiresome. As will
be the end of next week when I go on vacation to San Juan, Puerto Rico! Aye! Mis huevos! Let's just hope I survive the plane
rides! ;) Oh yeah, manga updates! One new page done today in RECORD time, 30 minutes! It has about 3 pannels and some text.
Alot of blurring and sloppy lines everywhere. This is done on purpose mind you. For what? I guess you'll just have to read
it! I am also thinking of redrawing some of the "adult" alternate opening because I am not satisfied with the art
on pages 2 and 3 of the 3 pages. Page 1 is just handy dandy and erotic as hell! *_* I have also suspended all work on "scripts"
until the weekend wee hours of the morning (Weekend = Sat. and Sun.)! On site news, I have added a new "Stars of Eko
Eko Azarak" page, which is a cast page with pics, links, and short bios. All three actresses to play Misa Kuroi are already
up. Look for other characters to come soon. Did you know Natsuki Kato (Misa in part 4) turns 18 at the end of the month? Celebrate
her B-day! Go see Battle Royale II! Which is her latest film BTW. I damn sure wish I could see it! On to movie news. I watched
Stacy late last night/morning (The only film to star 2 different actresses who played the part of Misa in the EEA series together,
more on that in the "Stars" pages) and I actually found it entertaining. Considering the harshly negative reviews
I had seen for it prior that is. Not the best zombie movie, but it has some really good old fashioned gore effects and Hinako
Saeki in a bunny suit advertising a chainsaw called "Bruce Campbell's Right Hand No. 2"! I shit you not my friends!
If you can't get with the plot, get with the cool Evil Dead/Romero references! I could have done without the Drew Berrymore
reference though (Have they SEEN any of her films since "Poision Ivy"?). Anyway, screw all the nay-sayers! Go and
check out this film! There's a 50/50 shot that you didn't just waste 20 bucks! I know I didn't! Nasty Nate out!
Tuesday, July 22, 2003
WWWhat's up mina? Not much here, just got done with another page of the manga! So far so good for this week! This page
included one really detailed image (The rest... blech! No, I'm j/k... Or am I?) and ALOT of text. After all, we have to know
what the fight is FOR don't we? Did I mention I'm making up 80+% of the plot? I thought so. Screw it, site news!!! New multimedia
section up with my own home made "slide-show" music video! Because anything else would totally fuck the account
space up, and we don't want that, do we? Also, the "Stars" page is pretty much complete because most of the other
cast members are out of the business or DEAD! (I shit you not) I'm working on finding a larger pic of Hinako Saeki to fit
in with the rest of the pics. Have some info on other cast members not listed? Drop me an email! I'll give you credit, but
no cash! :D Entertainment news: I saw this S. Korean movie this weekend called, I think, Marrying the Mafia. Let me just say
that this is one of the best films I have seen all year. No wonder it was successful at the Korean box-office. At first glance,
it looks generic (Like a "My Wife Is A Gangster" rip-off), but look deeper and you will be pleasently surprised.
Very funny and touching, highly recommended! Well, that's it for this update... And will someone please post in the forum?
Don't make me beg! :( Por favvooorrr! Nasty Nate out!
Thursday, July 24, 2003
Hola todo! This will be the last update before I go to vacation in Puerto Rico. I'll be updating IN San Juan, Puerto Rico
next time (Hopefully). Okay, some manga news: Another whole page completed since the last update. Alot of detail on this one
and also alot of text. Alot of questions are answered from both the first manga and this one. I'm still nowhere near the end
though. About two more pages before physical fighting starts. In site news: Site banner is now up on the front page under
the updates log (feel free to use it). The multimedia page has been renamed and features extrememly rare pics of an EEA pinball
machine! Looks to be based on the TV series. Also, the stars page has a new pic of Hinako Saeki. Expect an addition to the
film reviews section when I get back (In a little less than a week from Sat.). In entertainment news: 28 Days Later (still
in theaters) now has the down-beat alternate ending attached to all of the prints! See it again and stay after the credits
for a pleasent (or depressing) surprise! My pick for movie of the week this week is a euro sleaze film called "Hitcher
In The Dark". It does score extra points with me due to the fact that it's shot and takes place in Virgina! That's here!
Yay! Not alot of gore in this one, but it's still sleazy and exploitave enough to get your kicks out of. Hey, it's Umberto
Lenzi people... Yeah, familiar with the guy, eh? Annnyway, that's it for that news. I shall update again in a different country
with different alchohol and different toxins running through my veins! Divertido! Hasta luego, maricos! :D Nasty Nate out!
Friday, August 1, 2003
Hola mis hijos! I'm finally back in shitsville Wise, VA USA! Sorry I didn't find the time to update in PR, I was constantly
busy with the casino, drinking, shopping, and what not. Damn, I got a vicious ass tan! That's what you get for laying in the
sun for 3-4 hours a day listening to mp3s. I could go on forever about the trip, but I'm saving it and some pics I took for
the "About Me" section I plan to start after the manga is finished. Speaking of the manga, I will start on a new
page later today. On a sad note, my led pen that I had used to work on most of the manga has run out of led =(. Devistating,
I know. Now I have to find a new fucking led pencil! Cono mierda! Aye... Where was I? Oh yeah, I'm planning to add another
review to the Film Reviews section of the site in the next couple of days. In movie talk: I finally saw "May" today.
Wow, what a freaky ass film! Freaky, but absolutely brilliant all the same. I highly recommend this movie! It's a U.S. film
and bears the scarlet letter of the MPAA (The R rating to all the Hawthorne impaired). So you should be able to find it at
your local Cockbuster video... But you wouldn't rent from THAT place, would you? Oh yeah, movie of the day: "PTU: Into
the Perilous Night" . I can't really describe it because I haven't really seen anything like it. It IS a Johnnie To film
after all. Starring Simon Yam (Of Tomb Raider II fame) and Raymond Wong. Who would have thought so much crazy shit could go
down on one single night? I was taken back by how extremely realistic the whole thing was! I could see the script being written
based on a daily newspaper article! Well, this is another update that went on longer than it should have! So dat's it for
now! Nasty Nate out!
Saturday, August 2, 2003
Hey again everyone. Nate here with another late night/early morning update. A very small amount of work was done on a
new page of the manga today. Reason being that I have yet to locate a new led pencil (Not that I looked that hard), and I
have just flat-out been busy. I will definitely try to get more done tomorrow. I'm trying get through my huge "to-watch"
DVD pile to make up for all the time I was on vacation. This results in me watching 4+ movies a day and burning my eyeballs
out! *_* But hey, there is a purpose in this, inspiration! For the manga, scripts, site, everything! Oh, in site news: The
review for the first volume of the EEA TV series is coming soon, but I am a little uneasy about it. It would be the first
japanese film I'd reviewed without subtitles! Doh! I did understand most of the basic conversational speech and it is pretty
easy to follow the plot in these first few episodes. I managed to find some subtitles on da P2P, but they turned out to be
simplified chinese subs! Double doh! So I'll have to make due with what I have. Oh, and all I have to say movie wise this
weekend is... Don't see GIGLI or whatever the hell it's called. You know, the J. Blow and Ben Assfuck movie. Go see something
worth while like an independent film! Hell, go see Bad Boys II again! It could even be better the second time! Okay, my rant
is over. My movie of the day pick is: The Hypnotist! (aka. Hypnosis) The late 90's japanese horror film that won't let you
down in gore! Ever wash your face over the stove with an open flame? :) Plently of creepiness as well! Provided by Eko Eko
Azarak's own Miho Kanno! She does her "Lucifer possesion" from EEA one over in this film! All around a good job,
nothing too great, but a job well done nevertheless. You can get it on R1 DVD from ADV Films. That's right, the anime people.
Well, that is all for this update. Pray to whoever the hell it is you pray to that Gigli bombs at the box! Nasty Nate out!
Sunday, August 3, 2003
Ah, August... What an accursed month. The month of my birth, and my semi-death with school starting back. Anyway, first
off is an apology. I didn't get any work done on the manga today! My excuse is: One of my relatives came in from Richmond
and had to go back tomorrow, so we spent all day doing alot of crazy shit. I am very tired from the whole thing (and da driving
in the rain), so I'm fighting to stay awake here at around 4:00 A.M. I DID however find a placement led pencil... So that's
getting somewhere. In site news, the new TV review is set to begin shortly. I already have the image to use and all that good
stuff. The TV series reviews will be split into MULTIPLE reviews. So don't think this one coming will be the last! :) In movie
shit news, tomorrow we will find out who won the box office. If Gigli wins, there will be two questions that I must ask. One,
has the U.S. public truly been brainwashed or are they just this stupid by nationality? And two... Jesus WHO? That's it for
that. Movie of da day: Bullet In The Head. A HK film by John Woo starring Tony Leung (CW), Jacky Cheung, Waise Lee, and Simon
Yam. Holy shit, this movie is an absolute classic and I am ashamed of the fact that I had not seen it before until now. This
is basically John Woo's original script for A Better Tomorrow III before Tsui Hark took over that project. The Vietnam aspect
is very heavy in both films. The title, Bullet In The Head, is NOT a title just to sound "cool" or "action-packed"
like most casual viewers would think. The title refers to an event that happens in the movie that is so shocking and downright
depressing that even I cannot talk about it now (That would spoil it anyhow). John Woo pulls through and proves that he doesn't
always need Chow Yun Fat to make a fantastic movie. Highly recommended. Well, dat's all folks. Nasty Nate out!
Monday, August 4, 2003
The days are numbered. No, not as in the 28 Days Later tagline, but that school will start soon. Which is only good because
you get to see your friends for one last year. It's the schedule that burns my ass. Ah, anyway, on with da update! A whole
page of manga finished today! And I'm supposed to have Sundays off (This is being written at 2:00 A.M., so bear with me here),
but I have to make up for all the time I was on vacation. The page today featured only 2 panels and a hell of a lot of text.
Look forward to more of the same! Site news: I have recently started working on a new, animated banner for the site. Getting
it animated is the problem of course. The review isn't here yet because I am too lazy to re-watch my TV VHS and am waiting
for a download of the series to finish. Both are still unsubbed btw. Now we go to entertainment/inspiration news! I am SO
damn proud of you all! Gigli was 8th at the box and a big assed bomb. I'm still a little pissed that is even in the top 10,
but I'm trying to look to the brighter side of life. Hey, isn't FLCL on Adult Swim tomorrow? OMFG... Just watch it and see
what I mean. Gotta love that live-action ending with the kick ass J-rock song (It had BETTER be there!). Movie of the day
pick IS... Fallen Angels! A film by Wong Kar Wai starring Takeshi Kaneshiro, Karen Mok, and Leon Lai. This movie is like Wong's
Chungking Express' long lost sibling! In fact, it takes place in the same basic location as CE and is filmed in the same manner
(By cinematographer Christopher Doyle, who won a HKFA for his work on HERO last year). If you liked CE, you'll love FA. Style,
style, and more style! That's what this film is all about! Jesus, has Wong Kar Wai ever made a BAD movie? Or atleast a not-so-good
one? Not that I've seen yet! It's out on R1 DVD by Kino and Image Entertainment. Plus it has those cool U.K. based subs! With
such non-american words such as "mum" and the phrase "sod off"! Bliss! Looks like that's it for this update,
more from moi tomorrow! Nasty Nate out!
Tuesday, August 5, 2003
Dammmmnnnn! My time keeps running shorter and shorter. I can't wait until I get a 9-5 job. That way I get paid for getting
my fat ass up that early! On a sad note, no work was done on the manga today. I honestly feel ashamed to even update! The
reason for this was that I was helping plan, set-up, and wire the new extension being built onto da house. It took a long
time, but I finally got my vision all planned out. Just like directing, ne? Enough poppy cock! *snicker* Time for site news!...
And there is none! Gomen nasai! =( The new banner is all done except for the animation part. Not as easy to do with jpegs
as it is with gifs, I assure you that! Next up in the show is entertainment news and views! I am really pissed that the fantastic
HK horror film "The Eye" recently started playing in a theater in Knoxville and I CAN'T GO! Dammit! Well, I've had
it on DVD for hell and forever... But that's beside the point! :) Also, Miramax(e) has CANCELLED THE DUBBED U.S. RELEASE OF
SHAOLIN SOCCER! ALL SHALL REJOICE! THERE IS A KAMI AFTER ALL! I guess I'll be taking down that banner on the front page! Add
that to the site updates, bitch! Lastly we have the covented movie of da damn dirty day! Which is: Magnificent Warriors! And
no, I DON'T give a damn if that is misspelled, but thanks for not asking! Anyway, this has to be the best Michelle Yeoh action
film I've seen. It is jam-f'n-packed with wall to wall action as a small group of chinese battle the imperial japanese army
(It takes place in the 1940's). Almost as impressive as the movie is the R1 DVD by FOX! Wow! Now this is what I call restoration!
This print looks better than most films made a year ago! It also have some nice extras including an interview with Michelle.
The only drawback would be that it's dubtitled. Considering the dub is about 90% accurate though, I wouldn't worry too much.
For around $10, who can complain? That looks like todo for this update. Expect more daily updates until school starts, then
I don't know what is going to happen. Nasty Nate out!
Wednesday, August 6, 2003
Man, I hate time! Everytime I type that date above, I am remembered of how short my time really is. If I hate it so much,
why am I writing a script about it? So I can fuck it up! That's why! Ugh, I have some bad news again... No new work on the
manga. I spent all day with the new house extension business. Everything is 3/4 done as far as the design goes, some more
wiring is needed... But I didn't come here to talk to you about that! I got on here at 3:37 A.M. to UPDATE! Site news: I have
have to put the Shaolin Soccer banner up again. Those bastards at Miramax(e) are giving the SHITTY dubbed and cut version
of Shaolin Soccer another chance with a test screening in Ohio this weekend. Didn't the massacre at the test screening in
Canada not convince them. As if canadians and americans have such different thought patterns. Entertainment news (Which is
more of the above actually): Even though there is a chance for SS to get a wide SHITTY dubbed and cut release, a less cut
subtitled version WILL be going to limited release come Sept. 5th. Less cut my ass, go ahead with the R rating you damn bastards!
(As you can tell, I REALLY hate Miramax(e) and most of Disney in general). Oh, and now I hear that J. Ho is all depressed
over Gigli bombing! LO f'n L! Should have led a better life, as they say in China. Man, I really went on a rant back there,
huh? And that was me trying to be nice! Now it's time for (cue da trumpet) movie of da damn day! Today's film was WXIII: Patlabor
the movie 3. The latest entry in the cult favorite anime franchise. New director and a new cast in the focus this time around.
So was it good? Mmmmmm, it was O.K. The whole idea of throwing a monster in a fairly realistic mecha series was a pretty risky
move. Making 2 detectives the main characters was even riskier! (Izat a wizord?) Why is it movie of the day? Because it is
the only one I had time to watch today (Over coffee and a makeshift breakfast at 1:30 in the afternoon). The music and animation
were top notch though, the directing wasn't so bad either. I'd say give it a rental, but I would buy the first two as they
are absolute classics. Well, it looks as if this update is coming to an end (just like summer *sob*). I'll try to get work
done on the manga tomorrow, but nothing is for sure. Hasta luego! Nasty Nate out!
Thursday, August 7, 2003
Argghhh, the time! It is about 2:30 A.M. and I have decided to update this poor site that no one really visits! Well guess
what? That's right! I worked on the manga today! Only half a page but a packed a hell of a shock into those two borderless
panels! Physical fighting begins next page for sure! Misa Misa Misa, always Misa! ;P Innnn site news: Not really anything.
No tiempo for work on the site today. The builders didn't show up to work on the house, but the Windows ppl sure as hell did
and it was all a big mess. It rained as well. On to entertainment news! Is everyone ready for Freddy Vs. Jason next Friday!
I sure as hell am! Couldn't be worse then Jason X, could it? It looks awesome anyway! I have faith in Ronny Yu's direction!
He has already saved one dying U.S. horror franchise (Remember the excellent "Bride of Chucky"?), and now he's out
to do two at the same time! Go Ronny! Nothing good out this week at the Box office IMO. Oh yeah, don't forget to pick up House
of 1000 Corpses on DVD next Tues.! Lastly we have the movie of da damn dirty day! Today's movie was the CREEPY japanese horror
film Kairo (Pulse)! Wow, this has to be one of the best post Ring japanese horror films to come out in a while. Directed by
Kiyoshi Kurosawa (No relation to the god Akira), this film goes slow! Slower than the original Ring even (Which I didn't really
think was slow at all). What happens in the last thirty minutes will either have you struck with fear or broken down with
sadness. The movie clocks in at about 2 hours, but feels more like 4... And that does NOT make it a bad movie. This film is
for very smart horror fans and requires alot of concentration to figure out what all is going on. If you like movies you have
to think about, then this movie is for you. A masterpiece in ever sense of the word due to it's large plot and excellent directing
that isn't afraid to move at it's own pace. You can get the cheap R3 HK DVD from Universe Laser and Video. Wes Craven was
attached to direct a remake of this until Dimension pulled the plug and cancelled the remake just last week. I can honestly
say that there is no evidence in hell or earth that points to Craven as being able to recreate a film like this. They probably
thought, "Hey, it's a horror movie! Craven is good at those! Let him direct it!". Thankfully the bastards realized
that they had bitten off more than they can chew. Not quite as easy to bastardize as Ring. Anyway, highly recommended and
one of the countless reasons to own a region free DVD player if you don't already. You could always look for ways to hack
your current player as well (Head to http://www.vcdhelp.com for that)! That's all for tonight, folks! Nasty Nate out!
Friday, August 8, 2003
Hello everyone. Please excuse any typos as it is 8:20 something A.M. and I got approx. 3 hours of sleep last night and
now feel like hell. Sorry I didn't update last night, I was working on a script, which I finally finished! Complete with alternate
ending. No manga work because of this either sadly. Let's move on with the news cause I am dead tired. Site news: Added link
to Brandon's SECOND wepage (Wow, busy man!) in the friends section on the link page. Other than that, not much else. Entertainment
news: You guys been watching FLCL on Adult Swim. Man, it is even more fucking crazy then I remember it! I wish my 3rd DVD
would come in so I can finish up the thing! That's why I won't be watching it on Mon. and Tues. Plus, they're school nights
dammit! I wish AS would get some REAL balls and air Excel Saga... But it would probably be cut to hell though. Oh, well. Movie
of da damn day: Halloween by John Carpenter. Yes, the classic and IMO the best "slasher" horror film ever. The reason
such an old film is movie of da damn day? Because the 25th anniversary DVD just came from Anchor Bay! That's why! Do we really
need another DVD of Halloween after AB's previous 2 disk limited edition set? Yes and no. More extras are always good and
they seem to now have the John Carpenter commentary from the laserdisc that they couldn't previously get. The main problem
with the disc is the new transfer, which takes out Carpenter's traditional orange and blue lighting hues. As to why this happens
only on THIS DVD, we may never know. If you're willing to look past that huge gap (Or want to see the film in a new "light"
*snicker*), you should give this one a purchase. Highly recommended. That is it for this early morning update. Nasty Nate
out!
Saturday, August 9, 2003
Good afternoon! That's right, an afternoon update for once. Anyways, no manga updates. Work on manga will start being
on weekends since school is starting. The new pages will take HOURS to do! Arrrgghhh! Gotta make that Halloween release date.
In site news: I've made the decision to down convert the new banner to get it animated. Look for it on here sometime next
week. I am also working on a top secret surprise! :) On to da entertainment news: Time to give a big shout out of a big "fuck
you!" to Regal Downtown West 8 in Knoxville for taking The Eye off after one week. Way to go pig fuckers! Man, stupidy
should be illegal. Oh yeah, everyone seen the TV spots for Jeepers Creepers 2? Man that looks like it will suck ass. I hated
the first one and this one doesn't look to do any better. Aight, it's time for movie of the day! It is: VERSUS! That's right,
the crazy assed japanese yakuza/zombie/gore/kung fu fighting/sword fighting/bullet ballot/immortality/balls-to-the-wall movie.
Holy shit, what a kick ass movie! Two hours of violent bliss and excellent directing and camera work. This is the Evil Dead
for Japan. For me, it lived up to all the hype I had read the past 3 years and then some. This scores with me for the best
ending of the year so far. Maybe Freddy VS. Jason can top it? Find out next Friday! Anyway, I super highly recommend VERSUS!
Go buy it! NOW! Nasty Nate out!
Sunday, August 10, 2003
ARGHHHH! This is it! The last time I get to stay up late! The day before the day that's the end of summer! Oh well, seniors
have it easy, right? :) I still don't know how the hell I'm going to get in the bed at twelve and wake up at seven. No work
on the manga today as I was gone most of the day. Work will resume starting next weekend for sure. I did my final revisions
on the script I wrote and it looks to be all done (Wish I had spell check though!). In site news... Well, I plan to do work
on the banner as soon as I finish this update. That good enough for you? Other than that, betsuni (Nothing in japanese). In
entertainment news: House of 1000 Corpses hits DVD on Tuesday! Where the hell is the advertisement Lion's Gate?!? Anyway,
go buy it and support a return to REAL horror films. Movie of the day is... Fulltime Killer with Andy Lau and that japanese
guy that plays Onizuka on GTO (And sings the song of the midi I have playing on the home page). Oh, and mac daddy Simon Yam
in an all english speaking role! Best part of the film for me: Seeing Andy Lau kill people with a shotgun while wearing a
Bill Clinton mask! Yeah, you read right. Oh, and if you are a fan of the Metal Slug video games, you have GOT to watch the
last fight scene. More goodness from Johnnie To and Wai Kai Fai. It's no PTU, but it is damn fun and violent. You can get
this on R1 DVD from Palm Pictures. Well, that concludes this update... One more day left. Holy shit, this feels like the Ring
with all the counting down and all. I sure hope Sadako doesn't crawl out of the iMac or something. Anyway, that's it! Sayonara!
Nasty Nate out!

Saturday, August 14, 2003
Hi all! Long time no text! Well, I made it through the first week of school! With only one hard as hell class pissing
me off, the rest is a cake walk! Things are speeding along with the short film production I'm doing. Many have read the script
and pre-production and casting is underway. I will do some work on the manga tonight as the weekend is the only time where
I have el tiempo for the work. Site news: I guess you've already seen the new banner up above, eh? Feel free to put it on
your site without asking! :) No, really, go ahead! Oh, and the review for the 1st volume of the TV series is up! TA-DAH! Finally,
you stay! Trailer coming soon for it courtesy of Gaga Communications. Entertainment news: Freddy vs. Jason came out on Friday
and all I can say is that it FUCKING rocked! 1980's style all the way with a HK flair in there from Mr. Ronny Yu. Very gory
as well! Too bad the infamous "rave" scene was cut down a bit by the bastards at the MPAA. Still plently of slashing
and killing mostly done by Jason. So who wins? The audience. Movie of da damned day is: Dead and Buried. This 1981 movie co-written
by Dan O'Bannon (Alien, Return of the Living Dead) was famous for it's great Stan Winston gore effects, and it certainly shows
on Blue Underground's uncut DVD. The "needle through the eye" shot has to be one of the most convincing gore effects
ever produced, also pretty painful to watch. The new DVD is da f'n bomb and comes with a whole second disc full of extras
in a tri-fold package with a glossy front cover. Pick it up now since it's limited to 30,000 pieces only! Well, I guess that
does it for this update. When can you expect the next one you ask? Hell if I know, under a week probably. Now quit reading
this and go support Freddy Vs. Jason! Nasty Nate out!
Tuesday, August 19, 2003
What up 2 all?! Okay, that was stupid. I've got to think of more original ways to open these things. Anyway, tomorrow
is my B-DAY! The big one, 18! Legal adult! Porno renting! Hell, porno BUYING! :)) Anyway, another half page of the manga was
drawn this weekend. It's coming slowly but surely. The Halloween date will be made, I assure you that. For a little update
on my short film: A few script changes, and some casting going underway. I also shot some test footage today and will edit
it this weekend. Possibly post it on the net! Site news: Well, I did put a Mac button on the front page. Expect a small update
this weekend. On to the entertainment noticias: Freddy vs. Jason made a killing at the box-office with $36 million! That's
more than the last 3 Friday the 13th's combined! Certainly more than the last Nightmare movie. I will probably go see it again
this Friday. I am also hosting a screening on Saturday of Versus and House of 1000 Corpses. Yeah, I know, but this one time
I will show an english language film. Movie of da damn day: Blood Feast 2 - All You Can Eat. Wow, now that's a fucked up movie.
IMO it captures most of the same feeling as the 1963 original. The DVD will not disapoint the gorehounds as it contains more
gore than the unrated theatrical release had! Wowey wow! Pretty funny too with some awesome music. Acting can arrange from
"campy good" to "drama 101 bad", but hail Vlad for the lingere party! :D Nasty Nate sez that if you like
gore, you cannot go wrong with this one! U.S. made too... What a surprise. Nasty Nate out!
Saturday, August 23, 2003
Hello hello. Time for the weekend update! First off, manga news! One whole page has been completed tonight! The end isN'T
near! On site news: Nothing new here folks, I've been a little busy updating my short film's website, but I have something
planned to add here over the weekend. In entertainment news: I saw Freddy vs. Jason again today and enjoyed it just as much
as I did the first time! The place was packed so hopefully it won't drop too far from it's current box-office stand point.
Everyone seemed to enjoy it (even the rednecks I guess). Movie of da damn day: Day of the Dead by George A. Romero. I just
received Anchor Bay's new DVD edition (Yes, I know about the verbal censoring) and am pleased for the most part with it. The
film itself is classic and goes along well with the other two films in the trilogy. The best bonus? A copy of Romero's original
screenplay on the DVD-ROM! What a difference there! *_* Tom Savini is the man and he proves it again in the extras section
of the disc. I hope the Dawn discs are even better! I highly recommend this movie and suggest that you go watch/rent/buy it
and the other two right away! (And by other 2, I mean Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead) Sorry the update was
so short (Yeah, like anyone reads this garbage?), but I am not used to being up this late anymore. That does it for this addition!
Nasty Nate out!
Tuesday, September 2, 2003
Welcome to September! Less than 2 months until the new manga is done! Aren't you excited? Really? Me neither. Anyway,
gomen for the late update, I was in Knoxville, TN this past weekend, which kicked ass. Expect 2 pages of the manga to be done
by this coming Sunday. Now fo da news beyotches! Site news: Nothing currently planned at the moment, check out my movie site
at SMALLHOURS.TK , it teh s uck. Entertainment news: I saw 3 films this weekend; Jeepers Creepers 2, The Medallion, and (more
on this one later :)). The Medallion totally sucked! Especially when those bastards cut the film to hell and dubbed Anthony
Wong's voice! Blasphemy! Such shit is sacred! Anyway, it started out pretty good and just got terrible. Jeepers Creepers 2
was okay, I liked it better than the first at times (which I hated), but it can't hold a candle (or a match stick) to Freddy
vs. Jason. Just see it if you are desperate or if you enjoyed the first film. About 2 weeks until Cabin Fever and Once Upon
A Time in Mexico! That is one bitching weekend! Movie of da damn day: Legend of the Suriyothai (Yes, the 3rd film I saw this
weekend). I saw this beautiful film all by MYSELF! PRIVATE SCREENING! No one else but me in the Saturday 4:35p.m. showing
at the Regal Down Town West 8 Cinematic Art theater. The film was presented uncut (I'm guessing on this) in Thai with english
subtitles with an R rating. It starts out a little boring at first, but after about 45 minutes into the film, the violence
and plot really start to kick up! This movie was a few displays of graphic violence (beheadings mostly) and half naked ppl
riding giant elephants, but it's real power lies in the emotional (complicated, but historically accurate) plot and the performances
of the actors. Thank kami for Coppola's money that was put to use in making this wonderful film. A new DVD recently released
in Thailand sports a 5 hour version of the film! *_* The one I saw was 2 hours and 22 minutes! Well, that overly long review
concludes this update. Adios! Nasty Nate out!
Sunday, September 7, 2003
RRRRR-RASTA! Yeah, I don't know what it means either. Hey, anyway... One new page done on the manga! I don't know if I'll
be able to get 2 pages this weekend, but I will atleast try to start on another page. This one took me about 90 minutes I
guess. *_* Me losing me fucking mind I am. It's been one crazy week. Site updates: Well, just what you are reading now. Like
I said, I am busy with the movie site currenty, but I will put up a lot of new stuff here whenever that project is finished.
Entertainment news: Nothing much at the box office this weekend. I'm thinking JC 2 will probably be #1 again, but that doesn't
mean I support it... Just the genre it places itself it. Like I said last week, next week is THE weekend to go to the movies.
Okay, now I'm going to try something different with the movie of da damn day section. I welcome you to: Moviez of the damn
week! (Limit of 3 for space) This week's films are the japanese horror film JU-ON: THE GRUDGE and the HK thriller THE COLOUR
OF TRUTH. First, we discuss Ju-On: The Grudge. I reviewed both of the V-cinema Ju-On films a while back and have been eagerly
awaiting this one. For the most part, it lives up to my expectations... But here is some advice for those of you that want
to see it. DON'T WATCH THE BLOODY TRAILER! It spoils most all of the creepy scenes and even (IMO) the best "shock"
scene of the film. Other than that, the film looks more professional than the V-cinema movies and is certainly easier to follow
(and shot on film!). Some of the scare scenes are remakes from the original V-cinema movies, but the new ones are larger and
at times, more powerful than the previous. The film works best with someone who hasn't seen the V-cinema movies and/or the
spoiler ridden trailer. I highly recommend this movie for fans of HORROR! Not gore / creature effects. Next movie (Whew, this
is gonna be a long update) is The Colour of Truth, a film written, produced, and co-directed by Wong Jing (!). My, how far
the fat perverted bastard has come. This (I can't believe I'm typing this) "smart" film stars Jordan Chan, Lau Chin
Wai, Francis Ng, and Anthony Wong. Yes, the GOD... Anthony Wong Chau Sang. This film is actually very good and well done with
great performances from God Wong (tee-hee, bitch), and Jordan Chan. His role comes close to putting him back into the character
of triad "whoring" daddy; Chicken! Anyway, I was pleasently surprised (and shocked to shell shock) that the film
was so good and all thanks to Wong Jing (Whom I shall never forgive for City Hunter, but shall adore for everything else...
Like Naked Killer! :D). This one is the 2nd highly recommended rating for this week, as well as the last! That does it for
my LONGEST update and stupidest idea. See ya next week! Nasty Nate out!
Wednesday, September 10, 2003
Holy shit! Can it be? A mid-week update!? It is! Rejoice in depravity! The reason I'm making this update is to update
you on the manga (What this page was originally for before I polluted it with my useless banther)! I have finished yet another
page! That brings me up to date until this weekend. This page furthers the conflict between Kirie and Kuroi (Misa, dumbass!).
Things are going to get bloody in the next 2 pages. My due date draws near! I must complete this! For myself and anyone else
that really doesn't give a damn but thinks that it would be cool to see! Well the hell... On to da entertainment news: This
is the big weekend! Cabin Fever and Once Upon a Time in Mexico (El Mariachi 3)! Holy shit, I am stoked! I cannot wait to see
these masterpieces! Also, there has been news of Wes Craven leaving Dimension after they royally ass screwed him and he went
public about it (Just like the catholic priest molested kids!). I say good for him, maybe he can grow back that missing testicle
to get a pair so he can make films like The Hills Have Eyes and Last House on the Left again. No more Screams! :D YA-TAH!
Site news: Okay, so maybe I'm a little out of order here, but who cares? I'm making a new logo for the site as soon as the
manga is done... Which is a little ways off. Don't sweat kids, more satanic goodness coming your way! Movie of da damn day:
Monty Python's The Meaning of Life starring... Well, Monty Python! This film was actually a lot better than I expected it
to be. It is also the most "ADULT" MP film I have ever seen. I'm surprised some of this shit wasn't cut out back
in the day! Universal has just re-issued this film on a special edition 2 disc DVD with some of the most stupid extras you
are bound to witness in your entire lifetime! All of it fits the tone of MP though. Most funny scene? The catholic school
boy's rugby match! Holy shit, I was in the floor with this one! You get fat people throwing up and eating until their stomach
explodes, "live" sex education classes, immigrants from hell, and a song about the importance of sperm! You couldn't
ask for more! I highly recommend this one! Stick it by the GRAIL! More updates at the end of the week! Nasty Nate out!

Hey, see that above!? I actually HAVE been working, you see. That is the teaser poster for the manga that hits the web
on October 31st. Maybe even a few days before, who knows? Oh, and I started another page of manga and it's about half way
done. Damn, am I working or what? I'm making this one special since it is my last high school produced manga, so hopefully
it turns out well. I promise you, it is WAY better than the first (And I'm not just saying that since I'm using my own story/characters).
That pic above counts for a site update, so no bitching for more until next time. Entertainment news: Cabin Fever comes out
tomorrow! I can't wait to see this bad boy at 5:00p.m. tomorrow afternoon when hell lets out! Plus, I have to write a review
of it, which may or may not be used in the school newspaper (I've already written three). You'll get a more "free spirited"
review here, I assure you! Movie of da damn day: Critters! Wow, that was a surprise, eh? I'm sure most of you probably saw
this movie when you were younger, you know, the one about the little fur ball monsters that eat people. Yeah, it's all coming
back, right? Followed by 3 shitty sequels, this film certainly had some cult appeal to it and it shows. The film is low budget
and to the point without beating around a (furry) bush! Plus, what other film lets you learn how to say "fuck" in
critter language? No other that I know of. This movie is so bad, it is fantastic! If you love your 80's trash cinema (And
who doesn't?), give Critters a shot with the new DVD out. Special features? You get a trailer and a hidden alternate ending(!),
now where the hell did they find that? That does it for this update, but expect another by Sunday when I'm slaving away at
the manga. Hasta! Nasty Nate out!

Heeello! Welcome to yet another update! A new page of manga has been finished! So far, I'm doing pretty damn well as far
as progress goes. Forgive my being so blunt, but it's past my bedtime! (insert sarcasim here) Enough of this mierda, on to
the usual: Site news: None, nada, vete! Entertainment news: Cabin Fever came out today and I was fortunate enough to view
it. Read the next section for more on this. Movie of da damn day: CABIN FEVER! As you know, I had high expectations for this,
and for once... They all paid off. Not since House of 1000 Corpses have they paid off 100%. They did here. This movie is genius
and is certainly 1970's style. While not a straight horror movie, it makes damn sure in the second act that you know you're
watching a horror movie. The film has it ALL! Scares, gore, tits, sex, more gore, mean dogs, fucked up kids, crazy hicks,
a little more gore... Oh, and did I mention a flesh eating virus!? The best way I can describe it is 28 Days Later meets The
Evil Dead. This one gets my highest horror recommendation! You MUST see it, NOW! Watch out for the deer! Nasty Nate out!

Sabbath bloody sabbath! Or some such shit. Hey, what's up everyone? Time for some weekly updating! One full page of the
manga has been complete. This page contained an EXTREMEMLY complicated sequence that I had not planned on doing, causing the
page to take around 2 hours to complete. Anyway, the Kirie and Misa fight is still going on, but with some special surprises!
I really can't say much about it, but I'm determined (How many times have I said this?) to make the Halloween release date.
This may result in a shorter ending than I had planned, but I could always add an alternate one later on. Time for the usual
fooly cooly (Not that FLCL, you pervert!). Site news: Sorry folks, drawing manga and filming movies (And fucking school) takes
up mucho tiempo, that's why I haven't been able to work on the site. Maybe next week, eh? Entertainment news: Have you guys
seen the trailer to Resident Evil 2 yet? It is infuriating retarded! A skin cream commercial and the ending of the first film.
There... I just told you the entire abysmal preview. No footage from the film itself, which really chaps my ass, but ciest
la via or some shit like that (I'm the Spanish/Japanese guy, my French sucks!). Movie of da damn day: Once Upon A Time in
Mexico! Yeah, I know it was out last week, but I only now had the chance to see it this weekend. To put it simply... The movie
fucking rocks! Action film of the year so far, IMO. Johnny Depp is amazing as usual and Antonio is still a hard ass! Robert
Rodriguez's directing is right on target and truly feels at home with another mariachi movie. Mexican pride all the way! :D
I highly recommend this movie to fans of the previous two and anyone that loves to see people get blown-ass away! Vete y mirar
la pelicula, chingana! (Go and watch the movie, fucker!) That'll do it for now, kiddies. Next week = Next Update, and don't
be one of those flammers that counts Sunday as the first day of the week! Adios amigos! Nasty Nate out!

Update time! From Knoxville! First off, another page of the manga has been completed! The Misa/Kirie conflict keeps growing,
and soon its going to POP! Short and sweet this weekend from da hotel; Its time of entertainment news: Anyone going to see
the Alien re-release on Oct. 29th? I sure as hell am! Thank kami that it isn't a remake! Anyway, the film is supposed to have
the first trailer for Alien Vs. Predator attached to it! I cannot fucking WAIT to see that. Oh, I forgot, site news: Nothing
for reasons already listed, sorry! Movie of da damn day: LOST IN TRANSLATION. I'm sure everyone has already heard about what
a great film it is and yadda yadda from the nation's critics. Well I'm here to tell you... They're right! This is an amazing
film and certainly could be the best of the entire year. It is very deep and expects you to follow these characters through
complex levels of emotion. Two people, both married yet are missing something on a deeper level in their lives, are thrust
into a foreign land and speak zero japanese. Confused and searching for answers to their problems, they find each other and
make a connection of friendship. It goes more deeper than the general idea of friendship though... Its as if their spirits
are connecting right before us on the screen. Perfectly directed and acted (Bill WILL get the oscar for this... Or all hope
in humanity is lost), this film will take you on an emotional rollercoaster if you are ready for the ride and have a general
idea of what you are getting. I'll probably spend the rest of my life wondering what that last whisper was that we were never
able to hear. A brilliant and perplexing touch, it helps us cope with the events that follow. Go see this movie and see an
acurate depiction of both Japanese culture and human complexity. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! GO SEE IT! NOW! Nasty Nate out!

Hey, did you miss me? Sorry for the lack of updates, but I have been extremely busy with other things. Good news! Another
two pages of the manga have been completed. The deadline is drawing closer, so I'm going to try to finish it all up in the
next two weeks. Oh, and I put some fan service in there! :D As usual, no site updates until the manga is released (Which will
approx. be October 31st). On to the usual banter now. Entertainment news: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (How appropriate) remake
will hit theaters nation wide next week. I think it looks like shit, but I'll see it anyway. Just don't go fucking watch House
of the Dead unless you're a total dumb fuck that loves to get stoned and piss on the seats in the theater. Be sure to light
that urine after you're done! Movie of da damn day: KILL BILL vol. 1. What looked like shit on paper looks awesome in celluloid!
This is one of the best films this year and is totally different than anything I've seen (Since the 70's anyway, because that
is what it copies). Quentin has taken his unoriginal movie making to the next level with this Japanese bloodbath! Good enough
to get it to number one at the box office with reportedly around twenty million... More than any other Tarantino movie has
earned. The worst part about this film? Waiting to see the other half. Go out and have a good old grindhouse time at your
local cineplex! Nasty Nate out!

All! Another week, another update. Dammit, my Oct. 31st deadline for the manga is going to be extremely hard to make,
but I'm going to give it my best. Speaking of such, another page was completed that contains a big turning point in the big
fight (but then again, doesn't every page?). I've been working on a script for an American remake of the cult HK film "Young
and Dangerous". I should be done by December and I'm really proud of it. On to da naked news: Site updates: YES! THERE
IS ONE! In the Misc. section of the site, new pics have been added. I have a lot of other pics to put up, but I'm saving them
for future updates. Entertainment news: Scary Movie 3 looks like shit. PG-13? No Wayans (sp?) brothers? Looks like typical
Hollywood trash output to me. Really people, do we need ANOTHER U.S. movie making fun of RING? The remake did that enough
for me. The dumb fucks that wrote SM 3 probably have no clue that RING was a remake. Fuck em, I'll go see Kill Bill again
till Alien comes out. Movie of da damn day: Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake (Coming in 2nd was The Twins Effect, but I'll stay
off that one). What a terrible title for this film, which really ISN'T a remake in the first place. Just another higher budget
gory sequel, not that there's anything wrong with that. Despite it's flaws, the movie stands out as keeping with the nastiness
of the series, but makes a few fatal mistakes. Revealing Leatherface under the mask and giving him a motive to slaughter is
sacreligious and should be dealt with accordingly. Other than that, everything was nice and spicy. My favorite parts? The
gun-in-the-vagina bit, the leg chopping bit, and the "boyfriend's face" bit. Go see it, but go in looking at it
as Texas Chainsaw Massacre 5... Just that the 5 is invisible. Nasty Nate out!

It is do or die time here at Nasty Nate's casa. Next week promises an assload of work, and provides little time to work
on the manga. Even with the odds against me, I will still strive to get the manga done and scanned by Friday (Before midnight).
I lack around 3 pages to finish it off (Cutting my original idea for the ending a bit short, but it may be added later as
a bonus), I finished another one tonight (The return of the gore!). Stress factor is boiling high, but the update must go
on. Site news: The front page has been altered with some info about the upcoming R1 release of Eko Eko Azarak: The Wizard
of Darkness. Expect a new film review (EEA IV) after Halloween. The train keeps rolling into Entertainment news: Well, I didn't
see any films this weekend as there being no good ones to see. Alien: The Director's Cut will hit theaters on Wednesday! Be
sure to go and see it as I will be there right after I get out of shit hole school. Also, I finished my personal script for
a U.S. remake of the popular HK film "Young and Dangerous" this week, clocking in at a healthy 86 pages. Now all
I have to do is sell it! Doh! Movie of da damn day: The Twins Effect. Yes, I haven't watched any films since last week, so
why not give this one the covented spot?! What can I say about a film that has the pop stars group name in the title for NO
FUCKING REASON OTHER THAN TO SAY "HEY, THOSE CRAZY BITCHES THAT CAN'T SING ARE IN THIS MOVIE! SEE IT!" Okay, maybe
that was a little harsh... Crazy is a compliment in my book (bible). Even though it has a stupid name, it has Ekin Cheng and
GOD HIMSELF, Anthony Wong. Edison does a nice job as well. The Twins are annoying, but generate comedy in a few scenes (For
example, when they are beating the living hell out of each other with big bamboo poles). Back to the film, I liked it as a
popcorn flick, which is what it was designed to be. I could go on about this film, but my time is running short (Like the
deadline). If you like Twins, you'll love this film (As you are probably female and think that Ekin Cheng is the sexiest piece
of wood that you've ever laid your eyes on). See you next week, when the ABSOLUTE LAST update on this page will take place...
Providing things go right. Nasty Nate out!

It is done, all is over. The manga is FUCKING DONE, I TYPED! REJOICE! PRAISE BUDDAH OF MANGA! No bullshit this update,
just a straight up manga discussion. First off, this is NOT the last update... That will be when everything is scanned, edited,
and posted. I am going to scan all of the pages tomorrow, including the special 3 page "adults only" opening (For
naughty body part stimulation... You get the point). The total came to a whopping 44 pages! That's more than double that of
the first! One of my longest manga ever! I am very confident that it can be posted on Friday before midnight, so please support
me by dropping by to read it. I promise it won't take long! :D Well, I'm off to prepare the web page to post it on, stay tuned
for more and maybe the LAST update to this extrememly tedious and long running section of the site. Nasty Nate out!
Thursday, October 30, 2003 - FINAL UPDATE
Yes, it is here in it's entirety! The manga is DONE and UPLOADED... You can VIEW it right NOW! It is sad to go, but it
must be done. I have updated this page from many places, even in different countries! All for the love of Eko Eko Azarak and
everyone who enjoyed the first manga. I'd like to thank everyone that supported me on this and put up will all of the stupid
bullshit I typed here about remakes and what not. Again, arigato to all and hopefully I can start a news page with a similar
format to this (If ppl will read it!). Enough of this page, it is history! Never to be updated again! Go read some manga!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
